Lipi is currently the Programme Leader of MA Fashion Management at the University of Southampton. Formerly she has been Senior MBA Marketing and Management lecturer at UWTSD London and subject leader in Fashion Marketing and Branding at the London College of Fashion (UAL). She has consulted for fashion universities and industry across the UK, Bangladesh, Paraguay, Uzbekistan, India and China. Lipi has industry experience in fashion retail, social enterprise and trend forecasting. Recently she was a consultant for the United Nations, Better Work in Textiles and Garments project for the Bangladesh Ready-made Garment Sector.

Lipi is passionate about curriculum innovation and recently obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Academic Practice in Art, Design and Communication (UAL). Her academic interests are in cross cultural consumer behaviour, strategic marketing, fashion marketing, sustainability, inclusive education, professional skills for management and project supervision.

Lipi is a SEDA accredited Postgraduate Research Degrees Supervisor and welcomes enquiries from students interested in DBAs. She is interested in consumer cultures, emerging markets, gender, South Asia, creative industries, fashion marketing and sustainability.

Currently she is the Open Space editor for the International Journal of Fashion Studies (Cultural Studies series, Intellect UK). Full research profile at:
