Diola Bijlhout graduated in Health Economics, Policy and Law at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands with a thesis on health insurance and the power of patient associations during policy reforms. She combines her excellent research expertise with lecturing activities at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David London campus. Diola Bijlhout has an international scope and has worked with researchers at the Ben Gurion University (Israel), the University of Leuven (Belgium) and has taught numerous subjects on the management of health and health enterprises in different countries.
